Feature requests for Video Wrangler:

1. I would love to see the a link to the video's permalink and the CC license IN vPIP somewhere. So when someone embeds my video, there will always be a link back to the original post. I dont need to rely on the embedder to be a good citizen. (Jay)

3. vPIP feature request for sometime in the future: WordPress now comes with an Export feature that you can use to import your posts/categories/customfields/comments into a new install of WordPress. It doesn't export the vPIP tables, only the core wordpress stuff. I'd like to see the ability to export the vPIP info and re-import along the lines of what WordPress has done with their Export feature (or even added into their export feature). Dang. I mean WHY didn't they just make it detect and export custom tables?! (cheryl)
4. Let us put "style" into the embed share code. When someone embeds our video, it should look not look "unstyled".

6. While I was styling my site last night, I came across an annoying issue. I decided to resize the poster image, for my one and only post ;-), and realized that the size is static to the original image size uploaded. I had to re-upload a new poster image. It would be nice if there was a way to define this somewhere in the vPIP admin options similar the the way thumbnail image sizes are defined. This would be useful if at some point down the road you decide to change your theme layout. You wouldn't have to re-upload all your images. (Michael A)

8. Include thickbox feature checkbox on the media entry screen or provide some other method of easily selecting the thickbox feature instead of having to use the code generator feature.
9. Be able to custonize the text under the video. Instead of "quicktime/Flash/..."...maybe I just want it to say "Play" or "Play Flash".
10. Allow me to have a Play button overlad on my thumbnail. Even better is to let me upload a custom image that could be overload as a play button.
11. Do something with the close button so the video does not jump when it is played. If we put the close button under the video, instead of on top, will that do it?
12. my videos (640x360) are larger than most blog's columns. i would love it if there was a "scaled" option that people can check off when they click share. (D Kessler)
13. so this is a problem that i've been having for a long time now. I love vPIP on my own site but nobody is using the share button because

of the scale of my videos and the complexity of the html. i'd like to have another button that just says "scaled version" or something like that which opens up the Vimeo version that has it's own embed html generator. is there a way that I can do this in the current version of vPIP? Verdi's thoughts on kicking off Video Wrangler

I think the first priority is to just make it work. When I first tested it, it just didn't do anything. I don't know what is causing that but that should be the first priority. Next I think we should make the Jeroen Wijering Media Player the default flash player. We should support some of the most common Flashvars in the admin interface. So instead of just listing them in one line (if you know what to list), there can be flashvars and blanks to fill in (with explanations - it's all documented on his site). The third thing I'd like to see is to make sure the code it writes in your post validates. After that I say we start working on this list of feature requests.
